Hello,

Recently updated the board in my Pz3 to a Taigen one and this involved soldering the wires to the motors. I soldered by looking at these gears:

Funnily enough, forwards/backwards is fine but left right is reversed?

Could anyone point me to my mistake?

Thanks

Wrong wires to the wrong motors? Swap motors round?...

Well, checking with my Tiger gearbox, the wires seem to be right. I also tried swapping the motor cables on the board, but this resulted in forwards/reverse being reversed. How do you post a picture here?

Yeah, weird uh? Same happened to me: HL PzIV, standard RX board replaced by Taigen 2.4

We refitted the motor-wires the other way around. 2 times. No matter what we did: left and right were reversed! :-)

So following this thread with interest!

When you had it like this with forward and reverse being the wrong way around, I'm guessing left and right was working as it should. If so, the wires in the little plug are probably the wrong way around. I'm guessing that could be the difference.

What I mean, is I would plug the left motor in the right motor shocket and viceversa. Then if it does not work Id remove the wires from the white plugs and Id try more combinations. Hope it helps somehow...

I'll give the swapping wires in the "plugs" a go, but is there a technique for that? Could anyone link a video perhaps, really lack the terminology to search it up, lol.

There is a possibility the wiring monkeys got their wires crossed at the factory, their Q A is very relaxed.

You are right, I meed to sleeep more.

Maybe he could desolder them, and swap the wires in the motor.

See those little silver bits on the side in the slots, push them in gently one at a time and the wires should pull out.

And only push those clips in just enough, don't be heavy handed.

The tiny little clip you pushed in needs to be bent back out a little before you put it back in the plug.

But I'd try the wires on the pins first, just to be sure.

Push them in as in towards the wires or into the connector?

Pull the little clip out a little before you put the wires back in the plug.
But may be an idea to try the wires where the plug goes in the board to make sure it works before putting the wires back in the plug.
