Hi All

I managed to knock off a piece of the Ibu2 this morning..Shall I try and solder it back on , I can't really see where I could. The board still works, I haven't risked trying any functions but it switches on. Any advice?

Hi Jake, There but for the grace of god goes just about any one of us,
If I or perhaps I should say When I do the same to my IBU2 the first thing I would do is PM Ian AKA Tankbear and ask his advise,
He will probably ask you to put it well wrapped in the post to him, So why not talk to Ian ??
Shaun,

If you think you can solder it, do it. If you dont have the skills, the tools or the guts, send it to the factory and they will solder it for you.

Shaun,
Hey Shaun, I seem to be talking to Ian on a daily basis lately lol, thought I'd give the poor guy a break. I wanted to see if anyone else had made a similar mistake easy fix??. . I've had a good look at it. Looks like you could put down a couple dabs solder and place back?

I was going to say don't risk the repair as too much heat can transfer to nearer SMD components.

But done now.

Hi May suggest you fit it in a box now , the slightest bang now could lead to it falling off, protect it .
