Where to buy LED Panzer IV F2 rear lights?
Seen plenty of fronts, and found the rear green convoy light, but not the two normal rears(if it has two?).

Did the Pz IV ever have two rear lights? I've seen discussions concerning the rear convoy light (should be green, in fact, and not blue). You might like to try these links, if you've not already discovered them yourself.

Finding pictures of factory fresh Pz4s is not all that easy. Maybe they had two lights early in the war, and had them removed later.
Personally not seen provision for two on the IVs I've seen in the 'metal', so to speak (e.g. the Bovington example); but then specs were changed throughout the war, and that particular tank has bits from three ausführungs (Ausführungen, auf Deutsch,,) on it.

I think the panzer IV had only one rear light (the red one) and the notek was green on PIII and IV but blue on tiger and king tiger. No idea about panther.43rdRecceReg wrote:Did the Pz IV ever have two rear lights? I've seen discussions concerning the rear convoy light (should be green, in fact, and not blue). Well, Rad, here we have the rear of the Munster Panzer IV, and it only sports a convoy light (extreme left). But who knows what was attached to it when it clanked out of the factory, eh?

Re: Where to buy LED Panzer IV F2 rear lights?
When looking forward on a Panzer 4 from the rear, on the left there is the multi-lens Convoy/Tail light and at the base of the left rear fender a circular reflector,
I thought I had found a picture of a round rear light on the right hand side but I think I am probably mistaken,
Anyone with a copy of "(Images of War) Panzer 1V at War 1939-1945" by Paul Thomas,
On "page 54" the picture could be a light but it might be a head
I have seen no pictures showing a reflector on the right rear fender.
Interestingly The Heng Long PZ4 has a Right Rear Light complete with fitting slot but the Tamiya PZ4 does not.
But then neither of them has a left rear reflector either although most photographs show them.
Shaun.

That looks exactly like the Heng Long Panzer 4 rear end,
But like I say there is little or no photographic evidence to support that painting or Heng Longs rear light fitting.

Have to agree, Shaun (and with your knowledge, I don't have much choicejarndice wrote:That looks exactly like the Heng Long Panzer 4 rear end,

looking a a Panzer IV's rear end. But I have and, like you, have found no photographic evidence to back up the fanciful HL right rear red light.
Googling 'Panzer IV rear view back and white" produces a fair few hits"
Here's another (captured) Pz IV with only a convoy light..

Looks like I can get away with just the convoy light then, cheers guys. But now what to do about that reflector.
