Tanky, I have this problem over a decade ago on a Torro KV-2 and the same has happened since. It's most likely as Jofaur86, John1970 have suggested: the recoil switch not making or breaking contact. It's a matter of fiddling with it gently to make is work freely.

This is what the micro-switch looks like (thanks to Painless whose photo I cropped).

It would be attached to the outside of the unit that slides the barrel back and forth. For the KV-2 and others, I have to unscrew the turret ring to get at the micro-switch.

:D Hello, without wanting to upset Her professor, I was talking about the other microswicht, this one unless I am mistaken is the one that controls the Flash..

he problem comes from this pinion, generally, see if it is not blocked, and if the drive motor works well, it is easy to check, by powering the motor (green, in principle) with 5 volts directly.

Its the one Herr Dr. Professor pictured that sends the signal for the gun fire and flash

The one on the side with a yellow and black wire is a negative power supply for the recoil motor to return to its the firing position

Oh ho! So BOTH might be checked. I need to remember that. A grateful tip of the hat to Jofaur86 and John1970.
As usual, RCTW has provided more information than one might expect. :S Are you making any progress, TankyTanky?

Thank you all for your ideas. I’m going to have a look this weekend to see if that is the reason the sound isn’t working. I will keep you all updated. :)

:D Good evening, in the 1st post, it says that the sound does not stop? and on the last one, talks about the sound, which does not work? if I summarize (and understood correctly?) no cannon recoil, light which does not go out and the sound which would have a problem? for the sound, if it does not work , vour if the volume control is not at zero, the track of the knob cut, or a wire disconnected? hoping you find the solution

Sorry for the confusion I meant the sound isn’t working when firing.

Stick your finger on the end of the barrel and fire it.
chase the barrel backwards so it travels all the way.
It should stroke back to the micro switch and make the sound.

I have a Tiger with the V3 Taigen set in it and that was all it was.
I opened the turret, superglued a small tag of styrene to add length of stoke to the section that contacts the microswitch & sorted it.
