How to take out an airsoft LED thats stuck?

Post by AshMann »

While trying to install an IR battle system onto my tank, i found that the airsoft LED in the mantletis stuck, probably glued. How do i take it out? I've tried pulling it by hand and with tweezers and that didn't work

I had to put a small drill through mine, then break the rest out with a small screwdriver. It was glued in a good'un

If you are keeping the airsoft, and running a high intensity flash into the barrel, remember to put some sort of block to stop the airsoft hammer bashing the wires as they go in the barrel!

I have found that the LED can be glued in place. I have loosened them using CA debonder.

I used a 1.5mm bit and twisted it with a mix of my fingers and a small grip. I was more worried about damaging the main body shell. a dremmel would probably do better

Okay, is the LED supposed to break or what?

Unfortunately yes, it wont survive removal. Once the hole is cleared out the IR LED should fit straight in.
