1/16 V1 Rocket

Post by wibblywobbly »

Just posting this here as and when I get the chance to print the parts. The design isn't my own work I downloaded it and modified the files.

As you can see the filament decided to stutter during the print but that's repairable with filler...I hope!

I gave up trying to repair that one, and printed another. It was only 40 minutes so not too bad. Loads of parts to do for this but I am hoping that I can merge a few to reduce the workload and speed it up. It is as fragile as heck, as the wall is only 0.4mm thick?

It is a V1...honest!! 8O

Are you planning a whole v1/launcher set Rob? That would be Awesome! Looks like a whole heap of printing.

Following this with great interest.

Your piece of armour appears to be happy to see us! Image

All kidding aside I am quite interested in the V1 rocket build. I see some older Imex kits come up from time to time on eBay and contemplated purchasing one. You are quite the talented 3D printer!

I have seen one of the Imex models, they are nice quality, but the snag is that they are 1/18 scale. I have no idea how durable this one will be, I think the files include inner strengthening parts, but I will find that out when I get to them.
