Railway 1:16

Post by EddyK »

Hi, guys!
For some time I was looking for 1:16 scale railroad, but without any specific results. Then I decided to buy the nearest scale railway parts and it was 1:22,5 or as otherwise known LGB railroad.

But it seemed to be too small compared to the tanks, cars and soldiers.
Making some search a little more on Ebay, I found some railway LGB parts that suggested me on the thoughts about the manually-built tracks.

Material for sleepers I found in a building materials store and it perfectly matches (15mmx10mm) the 1:16 scale.
The adaptation is shown in pictures. Of course, the rail looks a little bit too small, but for now it is the best result that I reached.

When the ordered parts will arrive and I'll build a small piece of the tracks, I'll include a photos of the results.
Have a nice weekend!

Hi, I am not a train guy. Our local shop does though carry many types, here in the USA the "G" Garden gauge seems to be the largest. I am not sure about the exact scale but they do seem to be between 1/18 and 1/16 gauge ?

They have a wooden bridge at the shop that seems very cool, and very large it is wide enough for my King Tiger to drive over, but that may not mean much, except it looks really cool seeing the tank on a bridge.Best of luck,Saxondog

Hi, Antonio!
Thanks!
I bought the parts in the ebay, excepting wooden sleepers, that I bought in the building materials shop.
Regards!
