1/16 Tamiya Panther/Jagdpanther static tracks

Post by John Glover »

Hi,would any one have some of of the Tamiya solid cast plastic track parts that you mount to the hull either side of the Panther/Jagdpanther kit that they may have and would like to sell to me. I am trying to build a panther with tracks mounted on the turret as some were.I have tried to contact two members that did not use the the plastic parts in their builds and instead used metal spares from the full metal tracks they used to mount on their hulls.I am not using Tamiya tracks for my build and have D.K.L.M full stainless steel tracks as the drive tracks. Some one suggested that i pull the Tamiya supplied kit tracks apart and use these but as you all know, they are open pin so that will not work.Regards John Glover

I will never, ever, understand why tamiya uses open pins in plastic tracks...

Anyway, it wont be tooooo noticeable if you fit them in the turret. I did it too and is not that bad.
