Long shaft gearboxes for parts
If anyone has a pair of broken long shaft 8mm spindle gearboxes of any pedigree, I am wanting the shafts for my drive system for the Universal Carrier. I'm very happy to pay packing/postage. Please PM me if you have such. I would be happy just to get the drive spindles to save postage?
Thanks

Are tiger 1 shafts too short?
Or is it Pershing ones that are longer?

Re: Long shaft gearboxes for parts
I'm not sure, I'm looking for the 56mm shafts and I don't know the length of the Tiger ones. Looking at Forgebears site I think the Tiger 1 gearboxes were short shaft.

Ok, I will have a look, I'm pretty sure the Pershing ones are the longer, I have a set of each I can remove the shafts from, I'll go look.

Re: Long shaft gearboxes for parts
This is a very crude drawing of what I am looking to build
I'm basically looking to use a tank mixer module
https://www.mtroniks.net/prod/RC-Access ... kmixer.htm
plus a couple of escs and an rc rx using channels 1 and 2
Add a sound unit and who needs an MFU?

So have I, if your boxes are in good condition Tom, maybe I'll strip mine down as the gears aren't so good.

Re: Long shaft gearboxes for parts
Alwyn, would you like a pair of flanged or un-flanged bearings with the shafts?

Re: Long shaft gearboxes for parts
Hi Guys thanks for the offers. Tom if your gearboxes are working it seems a shame to strip them, I just need the drive shafts out of them so Son of a gunner I would much appreciate your kind offer. Just let me know packing/postage cost and I'll reimburse.
Many thanks

Re: Long shaft gearboxes for parts
Isn't the 56mm shaft measurement the the whole shaft length?
And as the shaft is a smaller diameter at the other end from the sprocket, what id diameter bearing would you need for the internal end of your modified shaft?
