Is the battlefield now complete ?
Can you take photos to show us of it ?
Hello Tigger,
excuse me that I answer to your question so late. Our new battle ground isn't ready yet. We've begun only end of last year with cutting up our jungle. Thereafter we had wintertime and that's why a long break. In the next months we have many to do; we hope, that we could turn our first rounds with our tanks there in June. If you're interested at our progress please take from time to time a look to our homepage and our forum; you can find the link in my signature. ;)

A few flaws have been shown, not all of them I’ve eliminated.

As finish has all bricks receive a painting of heavily thinned Latex Binder. Thereby has the stonework receive a stronger surface. Photos…

Before I came to my barn doors, just short to another step. Maybe that you’ve wondered about the length of my barn doors; here is the reason for that. I‘ve conserved meanwhile the upper part and I’ve cut out the base for my masonry.

Image

This base will receive a corresponding structure – this will be described later.

Image

Good to see is, that the base was not used in one piece, so I hope to receive a better floor contact for my barn.

Image

Image

The basis for my door wings are plywood plates. On each door wing were thereafter ice handles glued. The hinges for the door wings as usual; this time a bit stronger dimensioned. Here always the left door wing.

Image

Thereafter followed a few details…

Image

…at this way, I’ve covered the horizontal shocks of my ice handles.

Image

Here this view a bit closer…

Image

The second door wing follows; again a view from a short distance…

Image

…and a view a bit further away.

Image

Also at insides receives the doors a few details…

Image

A view both wings opened; conservation follows next…

Image

So much again for today…

Before painting is still a lock at the doors needed. I decided me for a kind of barrier; used was also ice cream handles.

Image

In the horizontal position is the gate locked based on the four fixing points.

Image

Turned the bar to the top gives three points free and the gate is moveable.

Image

Thereafter receive the insides also a bit more structure.

So far for today.

Thank you Carl!
Is it really a good idea to move into a barn? Okay, if the maid is already there... 8O
