Re: Battlefield House
I did notice a few tanks trying to take a short cut through the fence at the last meet. Maybe an electric fence would stop them.

I live in California where most everything is illegal, please tell me what is PVA. Sounds like some kind of protectant.

Re: Battlefield House
PolyVinyl Acetate, commonly referred to as wood glue, white glue, carpenter's glue, school glue, Elmer's glue in the US, or PVA glue. Widely used, certainly in the UK. Wikipedia entry https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polyvinyl_acetate
Used full strength, it will stick an awful lot of things together. It is not particularly speedy, being water based, it takes time to dry. Watered down to a milk-like consistency, it is very good for sealing porous surfaces and in the process, provides a hard protective coat. It is used in this form in railway modelling to stick down track ballast. The addition of a little washing up liquid removes the surface tension, allowing it to penetrate better.

Re: Battlefield House
Apart from some final detailing and fixing the roof down, the house is, to all intents and purposes, finished.

Re: Battlefield House
I am now staring at my pile of smashed, bashed, and scratched scenery, and thinking that this winter is going to be one that consists of a giant overhaul, and building some new items. You are rather good at this scenery lark, it always puts everything else on the battlefield to shame!

Such is my intention. There are a few charred beams to add, as well. Watch this space.Tiggr wrote:Is it getting a smoke unit and black soot stains too ?
