Today a small interim report.
Before I can dedicate myself to the roof plumbing and the roof battens, some preparations are still needed.
I started with the completion of the rafters; now I can't get into it with my hands - that means, that I have to take a long handled brush to preserve later the remaining wooden parts.

Before in my next report follows the verge flashing, I've still nailed an extra bar at the gable ends - sorry, glued of course. Here are pictures to show - as a drip edge above before the rafters.

Finally for today then installed the remaining rafters and...

...now he can come, my roof plumber.

So many for today.

Meanwhile is the workmate roof plumber arrived to my (invisible) construction team. In his luggage with a large copper sheet plate; this is the starting material for my bargeboard.
pic285.JPG
The copper sheet was then marked and cut; a total of 10 strips. Each gable side receives only at one side a complete bargeboard and one bargeboard sheet across the ridge - there must still left over a bit to do.
pic286.JPG
After cutting the bending orgy; here are some photos for a better understanding of the shape of my bargeboard.
pic287.JPG
pic288.JPG
All parts are cut and bent, a half gable side is already finished; bevels cut and soldered.
pic289.JPG
Now mounting the parts...

At the ridge then the overlapping part to the other side; first fixed and then...
pic291.JPG
...also soldered together.
pic292.JPG
So it looks then.
pic293.JPG
Afterwards the solder joints were still sanded and the entire bargeboard with small nails then nailed.
pic294.JPG
pic295.JPG
Both bargeboard sheets ready mounted.
pic296.JPG
For a time I carried myself with the thought to mount also gutter brackets and gutters.
But this I have then discarded - even though I had already started the production. Too much unstable frippery for an outdoor model.
