hello chaps

one of our club members has started this project while in confinement at home, a port crane for the river's harbour!

the pics show how this will be developing, the differents parts are held together with tape, the screws are also temporary

it has a lot of 3D printed parts, and also some 'emergency solutions' with what is available in his house. He is a gardener, so he has this concrete protection of a sprinkler and will use it as a base for the crane. This part will be fixed to the dock, so he thought, what to use as pivot for the turret crane? here you are what he has found...

Image

a cap designed and printed so the can has a tight fit on the hole

Image

the mechanism of an ikea dishes rotary platform will do the job to rotate the crane

thanks guys!

he is thinking in motorize the crane, for rotation, elevation and also for pulling the hook. If not immediately, in the future...

i'm impatient to see this thing on the docks!
