Ludwig M107 Howitzer basic kit and new website

Post by lmcq11 »

Of interest to fans of US vehicles like me is the new offering of a basic kit of the M107 self propelled howitzer. Chris proposes the use of his M113 running train (his 3D printed roadwheels, sprocket with Taigen suspension and HL Panzer III tracks). The gun itself is proposed but not shown or priced yet. These base kits are for experienced builders.

Also of interest this month is his new website. I browsed through it and it does not seem to be a complete replacement of the old one yet. Many products are not there. It has new functions like user profiles, login and basket for ordering. I do not think i want to be the first to order on it, and not sure if payment links are enabled, but it looks like a real improvement. Still need to use google for English translation, but i am starting to understand German armor language after so many years ...

While volunteering at the museum I've seen an M107 driving around and it's funny to watch. The gun is so heavy and so far out in front of the vehicle that it any change in speed makes the thing rock back and forth.
