I have been researching my great great uncle Hugh Cassidy he died on the first day of the battle of loos on the 25th September 1915 he was in the Highland Light infantry 2nd bn. His body was never recovered and when you look at this site you will see why http://www.greatwar.co.uk/french-flande ... morial.htm I have his war medals but for some reason I don't have the death plaque I will encourage the family to do something on the centenary anniversary of his death.

My great uncle was in WWI (US E company) also, but lived to see it through wit h a silver star in France
