My Great Grandfather

Post by trackmech81 »

Grandpa Charles Perry was in WWII as a tanker. He was the TC in a Sherman and told how he broke two fingers when a hatch closed on his hand. He said it was the worst thing he ever rode in and wanted to steal a Tiger and put a big white star on it the whole time he was assigned one. He later commanded a Pershing and loved it.
I miss his stories and wish I could have recorded them.
