Heng Long with a new company name?

Post by wibblywobbly »

Rumour has it that Heng Long are rebranding the company as 'New Model'. So if you start seeing models with the new name, you will know where they came from. Quite what they hope to achieve by doing this is a mystery to me?? :/

They have a reputation that many will not let go so a name change may help them but, yes, lousy new name to choose. Judging by their latest models and new gearbox developments they may well put their prices up but good for them - and its all good for us!

Maybe those here who know the HL family could throw some light on this?

If Skoda can overcome a lousy rep for quality I'm sure Heng Long can :D

But their name still holds them back, even though they are now just another Volkswagon!

Nowhere near like it used to! They were the laughing stock of the motor industry, on a par with Lada, now they make some excellent motors.

Its not a rumor since I saw them over the weekend in Shanghai at an event. Same old stuff, different name.
