As regard the plasticard, rod and box section in plastic I use www.netmerchants.co.uk ,( wish I got paid everytime I mentioned these people) next day delivery and not bad pricing and for brass and just about every modelling need you can think of (I think they do hex punches too), try www.expotools.com . Good luck.

I have ordered some plastistruct and sheet from them, to make some gearbox covers to stop the grease being thrown around the insides of my tanks

i used these guys:

http://www.stationroadbaseboards.co.uk/cart_plastic.htm

They also have an ebay shop. Cheap, reliable and they stock mostr plasticard in black which is great for RC tanks because if (or when) you scrape your beloved paint job, it just shows through black underneath rather than the usual glaring white ;) Just claim its battle damage and leave it  8)
You aint gettin me on no plane fool!
