JR-RC (Jasons Store) on Ebay

Post by billpe »

So I bought some items from this guy, from Japan on Ebay and would recommend him: http://stores.ebay.com/jasonsstore/.

He's selling Tamiya items pretty cheaply compared to local prices in GB. Shipping was pretty fast but buyer beware, because it's from Japan you'll need to pay duties to Royal Mail before they'll deliver. They leave a slip at the door and you can pay online.

Everything I've bought from him has avoided customs duties, he usually marks the value under the limit for vat

It was over £100. Maybe that's the limit?

Maybe he fell foul of an overzealous customs agent or maybe I did.

They have to fly the stuff to Canada and UK. Probably put it on a paddle boat to Hawaii. "Lost" style.
