I would say it’s not worth doing any surgery to the radio to get them to fit. If your sticks ever get out of wack in any way it may be worth it. Or get a new awesome radio

Not sure what to say. I installed Taranis gimballs to my radio because it was said they were much better than the stock ones... But I did not feel a lot of difference, except the travel (how up and down you can move the stick), which is a tad longer and that I liked it a lot.

If (when) the pots wear, I will get the hall sensor gimballs, which fit the radio well enough. The surgery needs to be done to the metal part of the base of the gimballs, not to the radio. Still a bit of a job, but it might worth it, specially if you fly.

But definitelly if the stock ones fail, I'd take the oportunity to fit diferent ones, just for the fun of it.

Heck, I’m starting to have as much fun modifying my radio as I do my tank! I think I’ve come down with Radvirus-20.
