But how does it secure the tracks on the top part?
The lower part is resting in the hole for the track pin of course. But on top it's loose...

That's a very interesting clay extruder tool you have there, Marco. :) I've not seen one like that before. I guess it's possible to use if for cake decorating as well, not that I have that in mind :D

Well actually that's how it's being sold!

Unfortunately, I tightened it too fast and now I cannot get it apart anymore... Guess the leftover milliput inside is not helping either...

Let's work on the back and the exhausts!

Image
I really dislike the previous owners weathering...

Image
Mig Anti-skid paste for the texture, first experiment with this, sanded it down a little.

Image
Two or three layers of Vallejo Rust Texture (a favourite!) and finishing it off with pigments. One done, one to go.

Really really nice Mr Peter
Must be a treat working in such realistic scale .
Great idea that non slip texture product.
Would you say it’s far too coarse for 1/16th even if sanded a lot ?

I'm afraid so... Using Putty and Tamiya cement to make your own cast-structure is (for me) waaaay better looking!
