There is some progress. Not much, for some reason I can not force myself to start the cable work...
Instead I made the recoil mechanism:

Somehow I managed to fit the gun incline -4 to 20 degrees, with recoil of 30mm and avoided colliding with the hull structure.

I also finished hull machine gun guard:

Hexagonal screws are not correct, I will replace 3d-printed plate with brass and I one day will also try to cast a zamack barrel shroud.
Except that I think it is a nice copy of real thing ;)

Just caught up with this - absolutely stunning work at every level, in every department, and in any scale!

Out of curiosity just how long has it taken you to get to this stage from scratch?

Thank you.
How long did it take to get where I am? Well... That's a difficult question - for sure far too long. Balncing personal life with family and hobby isn't easy, especially when your proffession has nothing to do with your hobby.
I casted tracks at the begining of 2017, since then I spent in total 3 years working abroad so this build took me about two years. In the same time I learned a lot, built a workshop, purchased a lot of tools...
It was a complicated process.

T-34/85 wasn't my only project in these past years. I started (and not yet finished...) a few more - T-34/76 (1:10), IS-2 (1:10) and Abrams (1:6).

As my project covers also a bunch of small parts I decided to print all - everything, including quite large engine deck covers.

One day I will try to use these resin printed parts to make centrifugal mold so there is a chance that I will replace these parts with metal versions.
