Remember my request for more (color) pictures of Maybach engines? And that I could hardly find any? Well... Someone pointed out to me the answers were right under my nose all that time! I already own this incredible book!

Actually there are MANY pages like this!

So this will be great help if I ever have to paint a third engine... (and I will, for an Armortek 1:6 Jagdtiger!)

Now... David Parkers excellent Köti build in 1:16 showed these stickers on the air filters:
Image
NO idea what the text says (something about German regulations I guess) and no better (real) pictures to be found, let alone decals in 1:6...

I would still like to know what's on the stickers but in the meantime I designed my own.

4 prints for 2 engines

Also on 1:6 you are not able to read what it says! So you are the only guys who know now haha!

Attached using double-sided tape

Some varnish to seal it

End-result. Papers turn white on the edges.

Clever--and maybe as good as you can get it anyway... Besides...every artwork needs a signature, right?

  It was well worth signing (initialing) the oil cap, Marco. That way, folk will see a lasting hint of the painter's identity- in the same way that stonemasons of the olden days left their marks on their handiwork. May I also say that your photos are also wonderfully lit, composed, and taken! What camera were you using? The images are all incredibly crisp.

Thanks for the compliments. I use an iPhone haha! But I do pay attention to my lighting and composition a lot (my background is professional photography).
