Oddball,check out this link for some great information on the Tiger.http://www.alanhamby.com/tiger.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This site has alot of stuff,so explore it well.Units.history of manufacture,the different versions as they improved using battle experience.And then the links page. My first tank was a Tiger,just like yours and this site opened the door to all things TIGER and I gained an understand of the reason for the praise and fear the allies had for this weapon. It is well deserved,this machine was a killer,plain and simple.

enjoy,Saxondog

Fantastic restoration pictures of Tiger 1. :thumbup: Reminded me of 1957 as a Junior Trooper in Waterloo Troop, RAC, sneaking in to the basic (by todays superb standard) dusty old museum to get out of the cold on wintry guard stags.

Great site you have here as I said previously chaps, and I will give it some practical support, once the gas and electric bills etc. have been sorted? :thumbup: :wave: Bye for now, off to get some paint and mini-connectors so that myself and small grandson can get busy? :lolno:

Crumbs! How enthusiastic I was back then when I was Centmk4,(AKA Cambrai) almost three years past now? :'( :crazy:

Still appreciate what a great site/forum this is, even if I cannot fathom out how to post pictures. :haha:

What on Earth is a URL? :crazy:

That piccie of mine as an avatar alongside a Conqueror was easy enough to transport from my desktop at that moment in time? :thumbup:

To be exact it is a Uniform Resource Locator. Yes, It means s*d all to me as well. What I do know is if you want to post a link to an internet page on here, the link goes between the and. It is more commonly referred to as a web address, which I do understand. :D

I'm Indebted to you silversurfer for that information, however, It sounds rather more of a challenge than I could cope with at 77yrs, so

I'll just keep reading posts and fiddling with the two models we have for the time being. :thumbup: :haha:

As long as you enjoy the forum AND your tanks - that's ultimately what it's all about
