HL-Tiger missing tank periscopes

Post by birger »

Hi guys,

today you are going to add the missing tank periscopes to the drivers and radio operators hatch.

Those are missing at the HL.

You can get the tank periscopes from different suppliers.

Normally they are made for the metal hatches.

The fixture you need is missing inside the HL hatches.

So you have two possibilities. Either cut of the original hatches and replace them with the metal ones, what I prefer, or you create the missing fixture.
Because we want it easy, we create one. That is really simple. So pictures should be enough.

But before you start, follow the next steps.

1. Remove the Tiger tracks

2. Open the Tiger

Then we measure the upper part of the periscope and create a fixture according to that measurement.

Now glue the fixture to the hatch as shown in the next picture.

After gluing the periscope to the fixture it should look like this.

That´s it.

Hi Birger, what is the material used to make your cut out fixtures?
