Starting a Stug III build. picked up some Amazon.com books.

Osprey Modelling: Modelling the Stug III
....small paperback...lots of good little detail work..especiall interiors and some cammo CHEAP$

Osprey New Vanguard: Stug III and IV 1942-45
...basic facts and some good pics of various styles of Zimm covering..CHEAP$

The Spielberger German Armor Series Vol II: Stug and its Variants
..hardcover 250 pages MANY detail pics of constuction/repair..very detailed stats...detailed gun pics...track types...VERY GOOD...around 39$ brand new..NO color pics...highly recommend

there is an images of war book called hitlers tank killer, which i have just got, that is brilliant with lots and lots of original ww2 photographs of all stug types. txt is pretty basic but worth it for the reference pics.

The Images Of War books have good pictures but be careful with the captions - there's quite a few howlers in them.

If you can find a copy, I can highly recommend the Ryton book by Uwe Feist and Wolfgang Fleischer. Lots of detail pics, wartime pics, as well as information on crews, tactics etc.

There's also two hardback books by Peter Muller and Wolfgang Zimmermann.

Volume 1 is the Development, Production and Deployment.
Volume 2 is about the Variants, Modifications and Technical Drawings.
