I have just treated myself to a copy of The Vallejo Airbrush & Weathering Techniques book off Amazon.

I think it’s an excellent publication and is filled with loads of easy to follow tutorials, very clear colour photos and easy to understand text.

If like me you prefer books for reference rather than watching disjointed YouTube videos I can heartily recommend this.

Thanks for the tip, Mike.
It looks like a good book and receives positive feedback. Personally, I'm happy with books and Youtube. It can take a while, but it's always possible to find a superb exposition on almost any arts-related and model topic on Youtube; but it can take a while. :D

Edits in boldface :O

I will would have bought the book pronto, Mike, but it is out of print and over 60 USD. Among the Spanish paint manufacturers especially (maybe in imitation of Ammo by Mig), there has been a burgeoning number of paint-brand-specific hobby books. I have some, and I pick up bits of ideas here and there, but never accomplish the whole. I think to some extent I get ideas and find my own way--not always the best way.

Here are two more brand-specific books that I picked up recently, just in case anyone is interested:

de Diego Vaquerizo, Carlos. Panzerwaffe Tarnfarben: Camouflage Colours and Organization of the German Armoured Force (1917-1945). Abteilung 502. 2019. ISBN: 978-84-120935-0-6.

Vaquerizo's book offers vintage photos and color plates along with some discussion.

Redondo, Javier. WWII USS Army in Europe and the Pacific. Armoured Side Book Series. Acrylicos Vallejo S.L. 2020. ISBN978-84-09-18821-5.

Redondo's book is a series of 1/35 builds, including tips for using Vallejo paints (of which I have quite a few) and aftermarket parts. As such, it will soon be dated. But there are lots of build photos and each build ends with a list of specific paints and parts.
