The Tank Killers by Harry Yeide

Post by PainlessWolf »

This came in the post yesterday and I've just started turning the pages. I thought it was going to be dry material but not so at all. There is a good photo section but the book is mostly reports and live accounts of what crewing one of these beasts in combat was all about. Covers Tank Destroyers from North Africa to the Fall of the Reich. Fascinating and first published in 2005 so current thinking included. Recommended to anyone building one of the new M10 kits or bringing along one of Mato's M36-B1s.

Painless

Terry,
Good progress! I finally got MATO to agree to sell me some parts. I had to send them photos of my 'In The Mood' build to convince them that I was capable of rewiring the M36. *chuckles*

:{ I hope you're still happy with it, I'd feel terrible if you weren't. I'm glad MATO is getting you some stuff, just out of curiosity what didn't I send? When I get home around Halloween I'll rip the place apart if need be, I do not want an unhappy buyer.

Terry,
Of course I am still happy with it. ;o) You didn't forget anything. I am buying a new wiring loom off of MATO and the IR and LED barrel flash, etc. No problems.

Good morning,
No worries! The M10 and the M36 are going to be the new jewels of the collection once they are complete.
