Tiger day 15

Post by Gillaspy2005 »

Hi all, was lucky enough to get some late released tickets for tiger day at Bovington. Have to pics and video of 131 running, unfortunately some are too large to upload. I'll try to upload some of the others I took of some of the other running tanks, M3, fury, t34/76, challenger and more. Weather held and a good day out!

So jealous! Hate seeing the crew wearing masks though.

You would prefer them risking getting sick?

Trying to get the vids up, they're just too big though.

The masks are not great however a necessary evil I think (not judging I come here to get away from all that debate so don't want to cause offence) , they're wearing the tank museum ones which are actually pretty funky! Was great to be out and doing something again it must be said

There are some tickets released for tankfest if anyone has the ability to get there. I'd go but have tickets for the cricket, been too long since I went to a sporting event dressed as an oompalumpa / superhero / wheres wally? Then get smashed on ale. Maybe next year!

Will put some more pics up tomorrow, fury and the t34 were the highlights for me

For crying out loud, Tiger6, I simply meant that it’s a shame that it’s come to that and it kind of spoils the overall optics of the scene. I’m all for people being safe. I’ve had Covid as well and would never wish that on anyone.
It just looks odd on a Tiger crew.

Get what you mean there, the t34 crews and sherman crews were wearing the full outfits. Looked excellent

Like a re-enactment event. It looks so much cooler with authentically uniformed crews. Thanks for the awesome photos!

Very nice. If I ever get a second tank it will be a Panzer lll. I bet that Tiger is growling at that T34!
