Gosh Matt, so chilling to be reminded of how young most of the fallen soldiers are, but one necessary reminder.

Sorry you can't represent your Great Cousin.

Wow! You look like the real deal! I used to reenact American Civil War but at 55 I’m too old to fit in anymore.

Thanks lots of practice. I'm 45 now and considering retiring but if I go and leave no one else does the subjects that I collect and represent.

I am quite excited about this one!
My kids have finally got to an age they are interested and appreciate big things. THey love Mummy's & Daddy's model trucks and tanks, but this year we decided to go to France for D-Day as i have heard there are large gatherings of Military vehicles in and around the area.

What a great surprise they are going to have.

Is anyone else going?
Does anyone have any good info where to go and where the shows etc may be exactly?
I will be going (4th - 8th June) as part of the Royal Marines Association. I am the Chairman/Founder of the Royal Marines Association Cycle Club (and you thought RC tanks were expensive! 8O ) and will be spending the week riding out to the various significant points and museums. We will also be on parade for the "big do" on the Friday :D :D

Most kids these days have absolutely no idea what that even was. It's a damn shame! Hell most people under 30 couldn't tell you!

I really don't want to live in this world anymore.

Good job I am just over 30 then.

As for living in this world, surely can't be that bad. Plenty more fun to be had by us all.

Aren't they still recruiting for the Mars mission

It's up to us to make sure the younger generation know what it's all about, that's one of the reasons why these remembrance anniversaries are so important.

Normandy to Munster is roughly the same distance as Detroit to Danville, not sure I'd want to do that with the wife and kids in tow 8O
