Would be great to go but, being in our lockdown I’ve already had to cancel a ski trip and was fortunate to get a full refund. Airlines are not so helpful.

I had plans to head up for it this year but the latest outbreak has killed them. I'm regional so not in lockdown but I can't see Qld opening the borders to NSW anytime soon. Maybe next year.

We were going to have a model display and 'tank walk' there, but had to cancel due to half the team not being granted time off.
Cost of the drive and associated costs blew out once the numbers were reduced.
I still plan to go, but on a quieter weekend, perhaps when open hatch day is back.

That's a shame , anyways when you come up give me a bell .
I saw the news this morning that SA is locked down till the 28 August so yea , anyways I'll be there on the 28th at least and if any other players will be there Sat , Sun I could say G'day out in the car park or something.
Herman I was thinking of taking my RC ship model of a Flower class Corvette just to show it to the public but is it only tank models ?

That I know of,yes.
But, they are very tight on regulations and public liability insurance,so just turning up will not work.
The owner has millions of dollars tied up in real tanks,. He's not cutting corners on anything else !!

Ok cools . I've talked to the guy a couple of times , he bought Dave's Centurion(I think) or the other Centurion that was at Nanango and most of the tanks from the Mareeba Military Museum.
The museum is getting bigger all the time too he's really put in hasn't he..

The Tiger is a replica I think but not sure.
There's a Panther A model there too so if anyone wants some pictures of an Ausf A let me know or any other rig they're building or anything that's there actually..
I wonder if I take enough pictures of the M26 Pershing someone might make a 1/6 one.lol.

The Tiger currently on display is a replica that was used in Fury but they are also rebuilding an original and post regular progress updates about it on their Facebook page. It's an awesome collection and I'm looking forward to checking it out one day if Scotty from Marketing and his useless mates can sort out the COVID vaccination program. Whoever owns the place must have some serious cash.

Well we've just been put in a snap COVID lockdown so let's see what happens now .The worst part of the COVID thing is getting mail from somewhere else , sometimes you get it sometimes you wait months and months.
Getting sick of this COVID thing.
Hopefully Ausarmoufest is a go.
