SdKfz 251 in 1:16 ?

Post by littletankman »

Hi does anyone know if theres plans for a 1:16 SdKfz 251 and 250 RC by anyone ? Or is it possible to addapt the US halftrack by lengthening it and making the 251 or 250 top ? I have the 21st centuary 1:18 static kit and did plan on rc ing this but its a tad beyond me I think . But Id feel comfy making a scratch built one ? The other issue would be the tracks . As my 1:18 ones theres a kink in one so it comes of the sprocket as it moves .

Hi Andy I have the same one as you and thought about trying to RC it but never got round to it. I think it would be possible to put the back running gear off the 21st century one and scratch the rest of it the panels are all flat so it would'nt be that difficult but there are rummours of a hamo or famo comming out so is it worth the hastle. :problem:

Hi Stevie , Yer I thought I had heard something that was another reason for not starting the 21st cent conversion . Im happy making one from styrene . just Im not so hot on the RC electronics side hence the thought of butchering a US RC halftrack ? If ones coming out thats good . There is several 1:18 static 251s converted to RC .

Hi all thanks for that still be intrested in a underview of the US halftrack and the overall length and width measurments . Im sure any German halftrack would be popular . Id prefer the 250 and 251personally.

The only ones available at the moment in 1/16 are these ones http://mk-modelle.de/index.php?list=KAT09" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
the running gear is from the 1/24 panther (tamiya?) but they look ok
