Shipping From China

Post by Jimster »

I put this in general discussion simply to brag on my shipment from China taking only 7 days. I ordered the 1/48 scale German Type VIIc U-boat from Ark-Models last Thursday and here it is already. I figured it would take weeks or months and I was very pleasantly surprised. Here’s a pic of the freshly opened box. All the RC components have to purchased separately but the model is actually designed for everything to drop into place. As slow as I am to complete projects I should be able to acquire the RC components needed from Nautilus Dry Docks located right here in the USA in due time. I always have too many irons in the fire!

In a real effort to gain world retail dominance, China is commissioning all sorts of express delivery systems, setting up nonstop cross continent cargo express trains or, where oceans get in the way, huge Amazon style strategically placed warehouses. Where used, this is cutting delivery times dramatically.

Unfortunately, it is sometimes eliminating some items from being delivered to some consumer locations.

Unfortunately, this seems to be coinciding with a general increase in prices.

:) :(

Jim,

Once again you seemed to be headed for the tub and a bubble bath!?! :D I see a pattern developing here! Just saying.

Cheers,
Eric.

I am the very proud owner of the WCP 1/16 88 mm flak and having compared it with the 1/18 alternative there really is no contest.
The detail is incomparable
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Wish that WCP model had been available before I got the Merit kit. Grrrrrr! I definitely love all my WCP kits.
