Bovington Tank Museum trip

Post by NAB »

Hi

I'm taking my boys to the bovington Tank Museum this Friday (30th July 2021)

While I'm there I'm going to be taking lots of reference shots for future builds/mods especially small equipment detail etc.

If anyone has specific requests for reference pictures please post them here and I will do my best to get them for you!

Thanks

Thank you for the offer. Any photos of their King Tiger would be appreciated, if you can get any detail shots of the rear end and any of the turret would be an added bonus.

I'm going to be getting lots for my current KT build so don't worry!
I found the below image online. You've probably seen it but it may help anyway.Image

I'm not sure if they'll have one there, but I would love some detail pictures of a Vickers gas operated k model machine gun please.

Especially the mount if they have a twin mounted pair on a jeep.

I did look on their website, but I can't find a reference to one.

Thanks Mr six
I have seen those before, the only problem with them is the mount, it doesn't quite look right to me. Plus it has a bench mounting rather than for the north Africa jeeps.
Therefore I don't know how accurate the part that holds the guns is.
Maybe it is correct, I would just like confirmation.

Edit, sorry, only seen the second one before.
That first one is very handy in deed, even if the mounting is a reproduction. So, thanks

The back end was completely stripped down unfortunately.
Still got some pics anyway and also some other random shots you can't find online.

Hopefully some of these helpImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage
