Shortly afterwards a couple of squaddies arrive and manhandle your "Tank Ammunition" into the garden and blow it up.
Inert and practice rounds account for 90% of call outs to "Unexploded Ordnance" by the Army. :lolno:
If they can't tell by the weight that it's a plastic model then they probably shouldn't be working with explosives.

I have a real Panther link, Sherman T80/T84 and T54 with duck bill link and a Panzer IV link :)

Not to mention a 251 half track wheel with original camo.

Having a real item from history is a story to tell the kids...
They are probably fairly common for you guys in Europe but in this neck of the woods they are a bit hard to come by. It costs me a fortune to ship tiny shumo parts from Axel so I would hate to see the shipping fees on a track link.

Philippines and surrounding areas saw plenty of action. You’d get a Sherman link from there :)

But yes, Europe has a better picking of parts.

My panther link and 251 wheel.

More choice and cheaper BUT it's getting more expensive every year! :(

Speaking of collecting tracks: I'm still looking for a Tiger 2 track !!!
(to complete my family of Pz1, Pz2, PzIII/IV, Panther and Tiger tracks)
1:16 was my scale. Until 'Konan' came into my life... an Armortek 1:6 Tiger 1!
... Now followed by a Panther G, 'Gunther'!

I'm a happy man. 8)

I'm keen to get up and have at look at that place one day when the border opens again especially now that they have a running Panther. It's a long way from here but would be worth it.
What do they charge for a link?

I had a look on the site but couldnt find any ?
Armourfest was on the end of August but with flying being shady & me being in the gas drilling sector , it was too risky to get there & find out some infected 'tard had jumped the border & just my luck been on my plane :/
Would have been a royal flush %^$#$ storm in our sector.

I'm going to hold out for open hatch day when they open up each vehicle for an internal access tour. Better for pics & taking the time to focus on the details we all yearn for in the hobby.

I can't remember off hand as was a couple of years ago I was over there. Do recall them being quite dear though.
