Out of the box builds

Post by ronnie42 »

Hi Been looking at Jagdpanther builds and found this. https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/ind ... nt-3733071
Nice write up on getting a late correct, as its based on an old Tamiya jagdpanther kit. The 1/16 is probably based on this 1/35 kit. Today its a lot easier with the likes of Meng, Dragon,Takom ,Rye Fields etc to get the RC version almost perfect. Shows all the failing on the Tamiya late model.
If i build it based on the kit i need zimmermit, a late will be cheaper to do as many parts are deleted or moved. Just shows you never judge a kit by its box art. :haha:

Thanks for the timely link. I picked up a display model Tamiya Jagdpanther off eBay a couple of weeks ago and have been doing some research before I get stuck in so this will help a lot. From what I have gathered so far the Tamiya is mostly a G2 version but has some G1 features like the tool rack on the side of the hull, the option for early exhausts and the no crew heater option.
