How many of us name our tanks, Have decided to provide my 2 Panzers with names, my little Panzer III will be given the name KATHI in honor of Katharina Esser the young lady tragically killed during the tank battle in Cologne Germany. second my Taigen Tiger 1 Mid Red 13 will carry EisenFaust (Iron Fist)
But it’s a dry heat!

German guys used to put male names to the tanks, and american girly names.

I put names to all my toys, and never use any of those names repeated again and again until calcination like Erika, Tiki, Marlene and so on.

For example my Panzer IV's name is Ehre, and my Panzer III's is Rechts

Yeh,I’m aware of their preference for referring their machines by the male gender on just about everything. Fleet Admiral Lutjen’s Of KMS Bismarck even told the crew in a address before sailing that Bismarck was to be referred to as male....
In contrast to other country’s which preferred calling theirs the female .

That is not right!
Here in Germany we also use girl names since the WWII...

On the other hand, names from Germanic mythology are often used
for example DONAR this is the Germanic god of thunder.

Wow, they named a god after a type of kebab 8O :think:

But on another note, I've not read up on old Germanic Gods, but now I feel I have to :{
