A question on Barrel recoil equipped tanks

Post by Ragnar »

Seriously considering the purchase of the latest metal addition of Taigens Panzer IV with barrel recoil.
My question is will the barrel recoil work without the IR unit connected .and does the recoil work right out of the box on these RTR tanks.

If the ad says IR with barrel recoil then that is what you should get, all working out off the box.

My question is will the barrel recoil work right out of the box or will a IR unit have to be installed first.

Hi Larry.
The Taigen IR tanks don't usually come with the mushrooms, they are sold separately, unless the vendor puts one in as a special offer.
To answer your question, the IR tanks shouldn't need the mushroom to be installed for the recoil to work. A lot of people just have the recoil working that don't have an interest in IR battles.

Not sure how they do things in the UK, but if you buy a taigen tank in America it will come with an apple/mushroom. The barrel recoil will work fine with the mushroom installed or not. Right out of the box the Barrel recoil should be working. In fact, yesterday I ordered a new IR Panzer 4 so I'll get a little video when it arrive so you can see for yourself.

Thanks Gents that pretty much gives me the answers I was looking for.
Not really into battling just wished for the barrel recoil as opposed to track recoil.

You’ll love it. I have the Taigen airsoft barrel recoil and it is so cool to watch it recoil. I also have the track recoil turned off.

Yes, having the track recoil turned off makes the barrel recoil all the more realistic. All my Taigen and Torro tanks that are IR came with the apple/mushroom in the accessory box but not with BB versions. Makes sense!

As Larry is an American, and I'm guessing the tank will probably be purchased from Imex, I went with what they do re the infrared system.
On their listings, they say. . . . (At the bottom)

Good point! Funny though that my last couple of purchases came in an IMEX branded carton but still had the mushroom. Maybe, as you say, it's a UK dealer good service thing?

Answer...
Contact the vendor to check before buying!

Mind you, it's all academic, in this instance, the mushroom isn't required.
