Hello folks.

Two and a half days from this month's TOTM submission time has past.

And we only have one entry so far.

If you intend to enter, please don't leave it too late.

Although, I doubt MichaelC will complain if he gets straight to the winners gallery by default ;)

Good Morning, Doc,
I'm in the middle of a Q60 upgrade and detail build and do not have anything new to drop in this month ( All of my old favs have been entered and won at least once so no help there ) Michaels Churchill is a real sweet tank! I hope to have a Churchill like that from a Clark hull one of these fine old days. We will see. Following the TOTM as always,
regards,
Painless

Begging bowl in hand. . . .

Hello fellow forum members.

It is now four and a half days into this months TOTM submission time. And still we only have one entry.

I do wonder if I should change the TOTM, Tank Of The Month to TOTEM, Tank Of The (Every-other) Month, just so we can have a totem poll. . . .

Just two and a half days left to submit your models folks.

Please be gentle with me as this is just an observation
In response to the posts above we appear to be having builds that are being contributed to by several people ie burt bloggs made the turret, uncle tom cobly did the stowage mrs bloggs painted the model...could it be that the average tanker on here who actually builds and paints and enhances THEIR model on their own feels that they cannot compete with Group builds ? aftet all if you get an expert to do every aspect of the model and you just take a photo and post it up is that really what this is about or is it to show what YOU the builder can achieve be it good or bad i don't know but maybe its scaring people off thats all..
As one comment says an excellent example of teamwork.
Just an observation, no malce intended to anyone.

Hello Mr Sub.

No worries, I know where you're coming from.

This is how I see it, and I believe I'm not the only one to do so.
The TOTM isn't that big an attraction on the forum for some reason, it never really has been, and unusually this month is a little slow.
The TOTM has always been open for all as a bit of fun, and to showcase members models. Yes, there probably are some who take it seriously. And we have a few outstanding modellers that on their own are hard to fault with their skills. But none of the models entered are built for the TOTM competition.
Models have always been allowed to enter that have had some help along the way, but we've always wanted the credit given where the credit is due.
If you take a look within the winners gallery, you will notice some models that have won that are purely the entrants own work, and they probably got more votes than some "collaborations."
Winning is all down to the voters, and they all have varying reasons for what they vote for, and some take the "build" into account. And we have witnessed a few times that the perceived "Winning" entries don't always get their own way.
Yes, some people may be put off entering when some models we see entered are outstanding, which is a shame, but like any competition, we will always see various levels of entries.

Regards.
Mick.
