Can it be? This information indicates Trumpeter's follow-on to their earlier Panther release is close at hand:

Has any of our august membership built their earlier Panther G to date?

Damn I was hoping for an A!
Re: New Trumpeter Panther G Coming Soon
Looks good but I agree with Tom, an A would be nice.
Re: New Trumpeter Panther G Coming Soon
The full set of steel road wheels would make it part of the small batch made by MAN in September 1944, but the chin mantlet entered production use in October - not sure what this Panther is supposed to be other than a figment of somebodies imagination...? At least they have made a passable stab at factory 3 colour scheme on the artwork
Re: New Trumpeter Panther G Coming Soon
The 1st kit gives you 2 mantlets , will get round to building it when i have the time.
Re: New Trumpeter Panther G Coming Soon
I think you are confusing the sparodic usage of chin mantlets on production vehicles with wholesale mixing and matching of parts on tanks returned to the factories.
Factory rebuilds were very much in the minority - I have MAN's figures around here somewhere, its a much smaller number than you would imagine.
Edit: "Overall 154 vehicles were reissued between 1943 and 1945"

It does look impressive - with the likes of Aber making etch for it as well potentially - I believe even Voyager Models have started doing 1/16 in small quantities as well.

I'm a little confused how my statement was contradictory, but whatever.
Care to post a few? I would be most interested to see themEastern Front wrote:Have plenty of references and photos.
