Danger Will Robinson Danger

Post by pebblemonkey73 »

I've always been wary about HL batteries and chargers. I've been charging all my batteries over the last few days after completely draining them all. I always check everything is okay and never leave them unintended for any period of time, I took the battery of charge and went to unplug the charger from the wall and the top plate which was warm came off in my hand exposing the electrical components.

Wow, I guess they don't use the same glue monkeys to assemble the chargers as they do the tanks. . . .

I have a drawer full of unused Heng Long and Taigen Chargers which I have no intention of using especially when far better and SAFER as well as quicker chargers are on sale.
What worries me is that these are part of a product often given to young Boys and Girls who could be seriously injured or worse using such rubbish.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Could be a blessing in disguise. Now you'll have to splash out on a proper hobby grade charger. Try Bangood, sound £20 will get you a good one that works off mains or 12v car battery and handles all sorts of hobby batteries. This one l can recommend and it comes with all sorts of interchangeable battery plugs:-ImageImage

Has the glue bond failed or the plastic?

Possibly, I can't see much overlap so was wondering if the plastic had failed next to the joint.
