More pipe dreams? It's one thing to add detail to a digital conception, to produce an enticing tank avatar; but quite another to translate the image into ABS, brass, and metal alloys. :problem:
I guess, what we want is less Walter Mitty, and more Brunel. :| : ;)

Nah, don't think a pipe dream. Actually I was the one who suggested brass fenders to Clark earlier in the year after seeing what Hooben was doing with their Tiger. May be aftermarket, who knows until he gets around to making his prototype.

One thing I appreciate about Clark is his focus on accuracy & improvement. Here is an image he posted today showing slight change to the road wheels. Some more work needed but better than earlier.
Road wheels update, left is the new one.

Tell him to just get something in the market.
People out there buy Pantigers still so the concept of stop being fussy & get on with it seems to be fitting !!
No matter how good it may be if it ever gets released, there will still be areas of improvement on it.
Get jiggy with it Mr Clark or stop talking about it.

Herman I think the days of crap Pantigers are over. Its got to be products that work well and its got to look good. Taigen are about £400 and going up each year. 90% or more of RC tankers are not interested in upgrades or ripping it apart and rebuilding. Thats why the likes of Schumo ,Aber and others charge so much. Its a numbers game and 1/16 is down at the bottom of the hobbies. Don't know why i bought a plastic HL panther , it should have been tossed away the moment it broke down if i had any sense .

There are good and not so good models from every manufacturers range and at all prices and some of the biggest disappointments are latest releases. I can forgive HL the PanTiger but not it's latest re-release. Taigens recent hull moulded tools are a good example of price and brand not guaranteeing quality. HL's new v6 fitted T-34 for under £100 also bucks the trend.

My take is this, you expect to get what you pay for. If you get more, great. If you get less then complain! But us RC model makers should enjoy customising, improving and modifying the RTR models we buy.

You gotta give Clark credit when it comes to listening to comments & suggestions. Here's his reply to my question asking if the Cromwell & other tanks will come with rubber tyres.

That's impressive. He is able to change the colour of his 3D models. Maybe we should just leave him alone to get on with it. Maybe all these images are delaying the release dates and pushing the prices up. Oh yes, we don't have a date or price.... Sorry, l'll get my coat ;)
