A while ago I got myself 2 sets of German heads.
5 with the Nazi helmets and 5 with the Schiffchen.
I already "abused" one of the Schiffchen guys, so only 4 left.
They are just one size to small to "compete" with the Torro figures.
But they are a perfect fit into the stock Heng Long Panzer Commandders, which do come with most Panzers when you buy them, like this fellow:
They are not as detailed as the China guys, but since I got them, I just had to do something with them
Started with the white from the eyes.
Just make a white line, no matter which size!
next I took a tooth pick and made a black dot in the middel of the white...at least I made an attempt.
Sound easier than it is, I can assure you!
Again, do not worry about the size, when you start with the flesh colors, you can make the eyes as big/small as you want!
I am always a bit chicken when I start painting faces, but WTF, just do it!
If it is not what you'd expected, just start all over!
Here are a few pics, in real they do look much better, less shiny.
I zoomed in with my cell phone while making the pics, but when they are on the tanks, you cannot look at them THAT close, so I think they will look just fine!
