I got one of these for my Taigen Tiger 1 last week and fitted it tonight :

http://www.beier-electronic.de/modellba ... m-hl-2.php

It takes a little patience to go step by step through the instructions, but the results are most impressive.
The sound of the Maybach engine is as if it the real tank is right there in the same room.

I'll do a video at the weekend outside.

The other great thing about the Beier card is that you can download from a choice of 4 Tiger 1 sound sets and add your own sounds too.
The list of sounds you can download onto the micro SD card covers most WWII and modern tanks. (Check the link above).

I also like the fact that you use the same radio and piggyback off the Taigen board which remains in the tank.
Gratuitous photo...... :D

The link does not work. I think the row of dots has something to do with it.

Hello Tiggr I'm very interested and will check it out once you post it! How long did the step by step instructions take you to set her up?

Link now corrected

Hi Carl. It probably took a couple of hours all told - if you decide to buy one, make sure you buy the sound card with the DVD ROM.
Have a look at the link - you can sample the sounds on the site - but there's no comparison to when you hook it up to a good speaker !

Paul I did find the site and the sound files. Very nice. How was the soldering bit with the board?

Also how did you setup the wiring was it tedious or straight forward?

I watched a video on YouTube to check the wiring - it was quite straight forward.
As for the soldering, I found that the little connection board fitted very snugly on the Taigen board and worked without soldering.

Wow that's great! I'm tempted to dive into one once I hear yours! I'm assuming the board comes with an sd card that you load sound files onto?

It does, and an adpator so it fits a standard SD card slot.
I'll take a couple of shots of how it fits inside the tank - time to get some zzzz s now
