I think by now you know that I love your tanks and videos, but there's just one thing we need to clear up. I've spoken to the boys (Gene, Paul, Ace and Peter) and they assure me, in no uncertain terms, that there is only ONE "Rock City" in this universe (or any other) and that's the place where ya gotta lose your mind ... DETROIT ROCK CITY!!
When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!

you just crack me up Max.
( hope to see you produce many more video's to come )
BTW, I've been told by the 'boy's to , haha, that I can use the word. We agreed back in 1980, when they InFact did the first ( ever) show in Norway ( Drammen )

They do put on a hell of a show. When "Alive" came out, with the photo of Cobo Hall on the back cover, everyone in Detroit claimed they know those two guys. Yeah, right.
Most of us did kind of look like them, though.
I was about 14 or 15 when I first discovered them, right about when Dressed to Kill came out. For young men around here they're as much a part of growing up as small block Chevy engines (or Ford or Mopar, pick your poison).

Yes, Andy, I can see you as a Mopar guy. You would have enjoyed this one. These were my rides when I was living in Escanaba in 1990. I even still have the Camaro around here somewhere, but you'll be more interested in the 1968 Barracuda Notchback.

The gear boxes seem quiet, do all of your DKLM gear boxes run that quietly?

They look like an improvement even over the 4:1 Taigen Steel gears.

Beautiful, drool-worthy gearboxes from DKLM for sure. Does anyone sell them in the UK?Max-U52 wrote:I think by now you know that I love your tanks and videos, but there's just one thing we need to clear up. Gary, you're probably too young to remember that Gene Simmons copied his make up, and over-the-top style, from 'The Crazy World of Arthur Brown', whose single 'Fire' lit the charts up on both sides of the Atlantic in 1968. Arthur Brown, an Englishman (Yorkshireman..same thing!) was the proto-goth, who also a passion for ghoulish makeup, as well as flames on stage. I believe he succeeded in setting his own hair alight on a couple of occasions. Kiss, Marilyn Manson, and Alice Cooper all copied him..... ...and there's only one ROCK CITY (It's built on one, and out of one): Edinburgh!!, although Aberdeen is called 'The Granite City"
Sorry for the intrusion, Max...
