the longer arm on the bulb is always positive

If at first you can't fix it , hit it with a big hammer

Hi If you bought it from impact it will be correctly wired ,you just have to plug it in to the MF unit, to check if its working use a digital camera look at the emitter when you fire it through the camera screen it will show as a blue light,I havnt had any problems with my impact stuff.

I was told that the Impact IR bulbs dont last very long and should be treated as a replacable item once or twice per year.
I have had some very mixed results with them which i found odd. I was seeing 100% hit success at 2 feet indoors during testing at home, but in 'battle' a couple of days later, almost 100% failure.
I was given a new maplins IR, which i fitted and hey presto, i was hitting tanks again.

Still a bit confused by that one tbh.

No one answered the original post!

I'm now changing the IR on an Impact lead, can anyone confirm the white wire is actually the positive?

Thanks.
