the bismarck finnished
at last the bismarck is finnished, the photo etch set was a pain to fit, some off the parts, like the portholes arnt much bigger than a pin head :-[ but having said that, it does make the model so much better, i also put some radio rigging on, its a wonder what a reel of black cotton can do, wether or not the rigging is accurate i'm not sure, the pictures in the model instructions arnt to clear, but its good enough.
as you know i'm a tank nut, and because of that there is part of a piece on the bismarck that is from a 1/16 tank, can you spot what it is, and where it is , theres no prize for guessing right . lastly, it was fun to do this model especially as its being given to the royal naval gunnery school, would i do it again, yes i would, but not for awhile, i much prefer my tanks. i hope you like the end result.

Re: the bismarck finnished
You did a nice looking job on the ship, looks like a lot of work putting that one togearther.I have kind of looked at that kit and know there was a lot of parts, not an easy task.If I was to guess at what would have been used on that ship off a tank,it would seem to make sense it would be ==one of the smaller deck guns or gun and turret--gun sights used in fire control tower--or could be one of many machine guns that "I think" was mounted in various places around the decks.----

ok guys, the tank bit on the bismarck is the flag pole at the front of the ship, it is a track link pin from a Tiger, its a spare that nigel gave me, it came with the metal tracks on one of nigels Tigers, the bismarck kit for some reason did not have a front flag pole, and the real thing had one

Great job. I like the detail you put in it, but you are missing one thing. The holes from the torpedo blasts .
You have nothing to fear, but fear its self. Or maybe a KT too!
