Happy New Year
With the new year, i bring you some new cool things i been working on. There might be a few subs as we wanted to do something a bit different
This might be a long project, we have never designed or built a sub before!
Initially it will be a surface running vessel, and should look cool on the back of a purpose made trailer.
However we are going to get a diving mechanism sorted for this thing, maybe utilising a piston style ballast system. Details TBC.
I have gone for this size of sub as at 1/16 it is roughly 645mm length which is doable, whereas a full size sub is just ludicrously big in 1/16. Plus they would have never been transported on a truck (prove me wrong
)

I mean, if you want to combine your two loves, there's always the Seeteuffel;)
This is a great looking project so far!

Stingray or the flying sub from voyage to the bottom of the sea would be exciting
Just don't visit the Titanic in it

Yeah! The Seaview! My brother built the Aurora kit of it--all 7 pieces.
Will the Tx for these be a wireless playstation controller or are they too unreliable for this type of application?
Mike.

The Seaview was the main sub, I don't believe they named the flying sub, which I also had the Auroras kit of, I believe it was around 1/60th scale or close to that size.

Do you mean these? Re-release by Moebius, box doesn't state scale but says the Seaview is 39" long.

Ooh... Yes. But, the Seeteufel has tracks! Best of both appallingly shortsighted worlds!

I built that Seaview model back in the day. Nice blast from the past!
