I do like them without the muzzle brake!

Slightly off topic, I got one from MK recently for my Sherman build and it was perfect.

He has been trying to reach out to you to make amends for the other barrel.

So I'll start with the Sherman M4A1(76)W project (Sherman IIA in the British nomenclature). It will be a vehicle from the Polish 1st Armoured Division liberating the Low Countries in 1944.
Cool, I am born in Breda, which the Polish 1st Armoured liberated!

Kaczor, does this mean it will be the Sherman in the photo, with the young ladies' chalk signatures and comments? That would be most interesting!

Whenever I see tanks with that much spare track laying on them, I can't help but wonder how the attached it. I mean did they just use wire or did they weld it on or .... I always picture a tank round hitting it and sending the track pieces flying off in all directions like a hand grenade.

Maybe it's just me... :)

It's welded hull (Firefly or M4A4) so no unfortunately. Next picture with "Flying Cow" tank is casted hull Sherman IIA but after reaserch rit turned out to be a very early version with a slightly different turret.

Good question. When looking at the surviving examples, you can sometimes see welded track holders. Overall, it was more of a morale booster for the crews than actual protection.

Those extra tracks are all guide horn-in as well. So some actual stand off when it comes to the dreaded 'Faustnik'

Another interesting example is this destroyed Polish Sherman with Panther tracks welded on the turret.
