I wanted to show, that you can build a nice model from a plastic tank too.
Sure, the metal ones have better driving results due to their weight.
The tracks can be run quite loose, compared to the plastic ones, because these get thrown off when not adjusted the right way.
But if your not into big money right away, a plastic one can do the job.
And you can always upgrade to metal parts as soon as your finances allow that. If you want to upgrade anyway.
I do own lots of metal and plastic tanks, and the plastic ones do not mean less fun to built.
They are just cheaper to start with.

I love that you showed this with some excellent work and inexpensive upgrades for your refresh. It is exactly the same idea I had with my Base model KV-1.

Here here. I couldn't agree more. The bare bones plastic tanks are a great canvas to start with. Plus, if you damage it, by bashing it about, It's only a $150.00 dollar tank, and can be easily fixed. Not a $1000.00 tank that would really hurt if damaged.

For anyone else working on a PZ111 a little bit of information,
The Heng Long PZ4s Tracks and Cupola are interchangeable with the PZ111.
You have done a cracking job with what is sold as a toy but with your hard work it is no toy,
You should be proud of a model with the qualities of a shelf queen
